Adult Counselling Calgary

Counselling is not only for moments of crisis. It can also be a space for reflection, growth, healing, and support. Our adult counselling services provide a confidential, thoughtful space to explore what matters most to you.

You don't have to have it all figured out to ask for help

Counselling can be a space to pause, reflect, and better understand yourself, whether you are navigating something difficult, or simply wanting more support as you move through life. Some people come to counselling during painful or challenging seasons, while others come because they are ready to better understand patterns, process experiences, or reconnect with what they need.

You do not need to have the right words, a clear plan, or a specific “reason” to begin. You just need to be ready to show up for yourself, and we’ll take it from there.

At Stride Psychology, we offer individualized counselling for adults in a supportive, compassionate, and confidential space.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of concerns do you support in adult counselling?
We support adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, ADHD, relationship/marital difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, and more. Whether you are navigating something specific or simply wanting space to reflect and grow, counselling can offer support, clarity, and meaningful next steps.
Your first session is about starting the conversation. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what feels important right now, and what kind of support may be helpful. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share everything right away. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Counselling looks different for everyone. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others choose to continue longer. We’ll talk about your goals and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Our team uses evidence-based modalities while recognizing that counselling looks different for each person. Each psychologist brings their own training and therapeutic style, and support is tailored to your needs, goals, and preferences. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. The approach should fit the person, not the other way around.
Yes. What you share in counselling is confidential and protected by professional and legal standards. Your psychologist will review confidentiality with you at the beginning of counselling, including the limited situations where information may need to be shared. This may include concerns about serious risk of harm, child protection concerns, or a court order.
